FISHERS, Ind. | Two Indianapolis teenagers were arrested after an armed carjacking outside a Fishers restaurant, according to WTHR reporting based on police information.

WTHR reported that 18-year-old Khalil Glover and 17-year-old Jeremiah Maddox, both of Indianapolis, were taken into custody Tuesday, May 26, after the incident near 96th Street. Police said the case involved an armed carjacking outside a restaurant.

CGN News is using careful attribution because charges and police allegations are not the same as convictions. The teenagers are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court. The public-safety concern, however, is clear: armed vehicle theft in a restaurant parking area creates danger for victims, workers, nearby customers and responding officers.

Carjacking cases can move quickly across city boundaries, especially in the Indianapolis-Fishers-Carmel corridor where major roads and commercial areas connect multiple jurisdictions. That can require coordination among local police departments, prosecutors and courts.

For residents, the practical safety advice is familiar but worth repeating. Stay aware in parking lots, especially while entering or exiting vehicles. Do not resist an armed robber over a vehicle. Report suspicious behavior quickly, and preserve details such as direction of travel, vehicle description and clothing only if it is safe to do so.

The case also highlights how suburban public-safety stories are often tied to the broader Indianapolis metro area. Crime patterns, traffic corridors, shopping districts and youth cases do not stop at municipal lines.

What this means

The case matters because armed carjacking creates immediate public risk even before a court decides guilt. The legal process should be handled carefully, but residents still need timely safety information.
