Nvidia Says China Is Included in Its $200 Billion CPU Market Forecast

TAIPEI | Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang said the company’s forecast for a $200 billion CPU market includes China, according to Reuters, keeping the country central to Nvidia’s long-term view of artificial intelligence infrastructure even as U.S.-China technology controls remain a major constraint.
The comment broadens Nvidia’s story beyond graphics processors. As AI systems become more complex, central processing units, networking and integrated platforms are becoming part of the same infrastructure race. Nvidia’s Vera CPUs and related systems are designed to extend the company’s role deeper into data centers.
China remains a complicated market. Demand for AI hardware is large, but export controls, licensing requirements and Chinese regulatory decisions can affect what products ship, when they ship and which companies are allowed to buy them. Huang’s comments suggest Nvidia still treats China as a meaningful part of the addressable market rather than a market written off by policy conflict.
The company’s position also shows how the AI chip race depends on Taiwan’s supply chain. Huang’s trip to Taipei ahead of Computex comes as Nvidia works with manufacturing and component partners that sit at the center of global AI hardware production.
