LONDON | Iran has accused the United States of violating a ceasefire agreement by targeting two ships in the Strait of Hormuz and conducting air attacks on civilian areas, according to a statement from the country's top joint military command.
The U.S. allegedly targeted an Iranian oil tanker that was traveling from Iran's coastal waters near Jask towards the Strait of Hormuz, as well as another vessel entering the Strait near the Emirati port of Fujairah. This information was relayed by a spokesperson for Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, as reported by state media.
In addition to the maritime incidents, the spokesperson claimed that the U.S., in collaboration with certain regional countries, executed air attacks on civilian areas along the coasts of Bandar Khamir, Sirik, and Qeshm Island.
